Clipboard History
EcoPaste listens to the system clipboard and stores supported content as local history records. By default, it captures plain text, HTML, RTF, images, files, and folders.
Content Types
When the clipboard contains multiple formats, EcoPaste saves the first matching type in the configured capture order. The default order is files, image, HTML, RTF, then text.
Search And Filters
EcoPaste can search content and notes. You can:
- Type keywords directly to search history.
- Switch between text, image, and file categories.
- View favorites only.
- Organize recurring content with custom groups.
- Filter by source application.
Record Actions
When hovering over a record, EcoPaste can show configurable quick actions:
- Paste, paste as plain text, and paste as path.
- Copy and copy as plain text.
- Open link, send email, and reveal in file manager.
- Add or edit a note.
- Favorite, pin, and delete.
By default, EcoPaste shows copy, favorite, pin, and delete. You can change which actions are visible and how they are ordered in Preferences.
Preview
EcoPaste supports previews for text, image, and file records. By default, hold Space to preview the selected record. You can also enable hover preview and choose a 300ms, 500ms, or 1000ms delay.
Records with notes show the note by default. When “show original content on hover” is enabled, hovering the card temporarily reveals the original content.
